Staff Report From Middle Georgia CEO

Tuesday, August 11th, 2015

The Community Foundation of Central Georgia announced a new Neighborhood Grant Program in March 2015.  This program provides funding to grassroots neighborhood initiatives in three neighborhoods: (1) Village Green (Macon-Bibb), (2) East Macon / Walnut Creek (Macon-Bibb), and (3) Harrisburg (Milledgeville).

CFCG is hosting community meetings to solicit input from neighborhood stakeholders from the Village Green and Walnut Creek/East Macon neighborhoods.  A meeting will be held in each neighborhood and the public is invited to attend.  The stakeholders will get a chance to review the project applications submitted for their neighborhood and give CFCG input on the proposed projects.

The meetings will be on Thursday, August 13,2015.

  • 4:00pm  Walnut Creek / East Macon stakeholders should come to the Northeast High School Media Center at  1646 Upper River Road.

  • 6:00pm  Village Green stakeholders should come to Evergreen Church, 5221 Nisbet Drive.
