Coliseum Medical Centers is pleased to welcome Norman “Chip” Hetzler, Jr., M.D. Dr. Hetzler’s practice, Coliseum Heart, Lung & Vascular Associates, opened on August 3, 2015.

Dr. Hetzler is a board-certified cardiovascular and thoracic surgeon, specializing in mitral valve  and aortic valve repair and replacement, VATS, endovascular and open procedures, and the treatment of complex coronary artery disease including re-do surgery.  Most recently, Dr. Hetzler has been the senior surgeon of St. Mary’s Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons in Huntington, West Virginia where he instituted new technologies that include cerebral oximetry, microplegia, and platelet gel.

Dr. Hetzler attended Pennsylvania State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-Medicine, Marine Sciences. He earned his medical degree at Hahnemann Medical College.
