"Back to School" Carnival at Macon-Bibb County Health Department

Staff Report From Middle Georgia CEO

Tuesday, July 7th, 2015

The Macon-Bibb County Health Department (MBCHD) is pleased to announce its "Back to School" Carnival on Thursday, July 30, 2 pm until 7 pm, at its Emery Highway location.  This annual event provides a fun and convenient way for parents to get their child's school-required immunizations and screenings in one place and at one time.

Children who have up-to-date immunizations, or who receive immunizations at the Carnival, will receive free backpacks, while supplies last.  Multiple community partners will offer a variety of other services, screenings and prizes, including drawings for bicycles and a Kindle Fire.  School supplies, popcorn and snow cones will be awarded to children who visit at least 5 event partners.

MBCHD, located at 171 Emery Highway, works to protect the health of people and their environment wherever in our community they live, work and play.  Through our services we prevent disease, injury and disability; promote health and well-being; and prepare for and respond to disasters from a health perspective.
