When Robert Smith was a senior studying political science at the University of Georgia, he took a public administration class that changed the direction of his life.
Smith, now 30, who’s been serving as Perry’s economic development director for about seven months, had been thinking about becoming an attorney because of the influence of an uncle who practiced law in the public sector.
