Gottwals Opens Tenth Bookstore
Press release from the issuing company
Tuesday, June 16th, 2015
Started in March of 2007, Gottwals Books began as a 1,500 square foot shop in Warner Robins, GA carrying 10,000 used books. Now franchising under the Walls of Books name, the family-owned corporation will have at least ten locations open in six states by September of 2015.
Despite the decline in printed sales for the book industry in recent years, owner Shane Gottwals has seen incredible retail success selling used books. This certainly defies national book-selling trends. He thinks that reasonably-priced used and new book options, low overhead, consistent customer experiences, and a strong store credit trade-in system set his company apart.
The latest Walls of Books franchise will open in our nation’s capital by September. This is a symbolic milestone as this brand continues nationwide expansion. Other stores are in the works and are set to open by year’s end.
