On May 4^th at 1:30pm in City Hall, Acting Mayor Jeannette Walden proclaimed the week of May 4 – May 8, 2015 to be National Small Business Week throughout Milledgeville and Baldwin County.

In attendance were several small business owners including Mike Martino, owner of Bodyplex, the Chamber’s 2014 Small Business of the Year; Coni Moore, owner of Elite, the Chamber’s 2012 Small Business of the Year; Bill Jones, President of Magnolia State Bank along with several staff members.

The Milledgeville-Baldwin County Chamber has partnered with Milledgeville Main Street to celebrate the small businesses in the community for their significant role in the local economy. All week both organizations will be sharing the importance of small businesses on social media. All citizens are greatly encouraged to shop local, share the social media post and thank the small businesses in our community for their dedication to growing Milledgeville-Baldwin County.

Every year since 1963, the United States President takes the opportunity to highlight the impact of outstanding entrepreneurs, small business owners, and others from across the nation through National Small Business Week.
