The official selections for the Animation Shorts, Documentary Feature and Documentary Shorts competition for the 2015 Macon Film Festival (July 16 – 19) have been announced.

The complete listing of official selections are both domestic and international, including selections from Afghanistan, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Cyrus, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, South Korea, Spain, Syrian Arab Republic, Turkey United Kingdom, and the USA. All films will screen twice during the festival, except for the special screenings and the Central Georgia Showcase films, which will only screen once.

"It is always an exciting time of the festival year when the official selections list is announced," said festival programmer Tabitha Lynne Walker. "The festival began receiving submissions for the 2015 festival last October and screeners comprised of festival supporters, industry professionals, and filmmakers were tasked with viewing each of the submissions through March. With a record number of submitted films for the festival’s 10^th year it made for a daunting task to narrow down this festival’s official selection films. The end result is one of the strongest line ups the festival has ever had and is sure to delight festival audience members from Central Georgia and beyond.”

In addition to those announced today, the festival presents Music Documentary, Music Video, Narrative Feature, Narrative Shorts, Southern Documentary, Central Georgia Showcase, LGBT Shorts, and Student Shorts categories. Those announcements are forthcoming.
