Cox Recognizes Inspirational Student Heroes in Bibb County

Cox Communications is hosting its Inspirational Student Hero Awards on Wednesday, May 6 at 4:30 p.m., at the President’s Dining Room inside the University Center at Mercer in Macon. Cox will recognize 28 students from Bibb County who have demonstrated extraordinary accomplishments at school, at home and in their communities, despite facing many challenges on a daily basis.
The students were chosen by a committee of leaders at their school. During the event, Cox will present each student with an engraved medallion and certificate of honor from Cox.
“These students have shown an enduring perseverance, inner strength and courage of character to rise above significant challenges and bring encouragement to others,” stated Jacqui Vines, senior vice president and region manager of Cox Southeast. “It is my honor to pay tribute to these student heroes. They truly are an inspiration to us all.”
