New, Large Development Proposed for North Macon
Wednesday, April 22nd, 2015
A new 314,000-square-foot development with a mix of big box and smaller retailers, restaurants and a hotel is planned off Macon’s Bass Road.
The project with a proposed name of North Macon Promenade is the second large retail development recently planned for the same general area.
The latest development would be built on a portion of a 38-acre site at 1625 Bass Road and 200 Starcadia Circle. Fickling & Co., a Macon real estate company that owns the property, has a contract with Lennar Commercial, a subsidiary of Miami-based Lennar Corp., to develop the new shopping center, said Bobby Cleveland, vice president of commercial development for Fickling.
