Reichert Predicts Bright Future for Macon-Bibb, but Budget Worries Remain

Macon-Bibb County Mayor Robert Reichert gave a consistently upbeat, energetic assessment of the year-old consolidated government’s progress and prospects Thursday in his State of the Community address, hosted by the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce.
“The state of our economy is dynamic,” he said. In addition to continuing government office consolidation and a spirit of cooperation among commissioners, various local agencies are working to revitalize downtown and make all of Macon-Bibb more welcoming, Reichert said.
