On February 10, 2015, Lt. Gen. William B. Caldwell IV, president of Georgia Military College, and Dr. Christopher Blake, president of Middle Georgia State College, signed an articulation agreement that will allow GMC students to apply their associate's degree credits toward Middle Georgia State baccalaureate degrees.
GMC students will be able to transfer degree credits without losing credit hours, providing a more seamless transition to Middle Georgia State. Additionally, any GMC student who graduates from Georgia Military College with an associate's degree is guaranteed admission into Middle Georgia State provided that the student has a GPA of 2.0 out of a 4.0 scale for all college course work.
Blake said of the agreement, "We are pleased to offer this opportunity to Georgia Military College graduates to smoothly transition to Middle Georgia State to complete bachelor's degrees. This is the latest in a number of similar partnerships we have with other institutions, showing our commitment to eliminating obstacles to baccalaureate education for the people we serve."
Caldwell shared this sentiment, saying, “We are excited to have this opportunity with Middle Georgia State College, which has an incredible reputation in the state of Georgia, and is well known for their academics and for their focus on the student. The fact that our students now have this unique ability to take all of their courses from GMC and directly transfer them over to Middle Georgia State College is a real win for our students."
