WHY: Genghis Grill brings a unique casual dining experience to the Middle Georgia region. The location offers a fresh, hot, and healthy menu, and allows patrons to build their own stir-fry from 80 ingredients and have it cooked by a highly skilled grill master.

DETAILS: There are more than a hundred Genghis Grill locations in the U.S., but the Macon restaurant will be the first to feature an island bar in the center of the restaurant. In addition to a wide selection of beer and wine, the fully stocked bar will include the Genghis Grill Infamous Cocktails specialty drink menu, a list of ten alcoholic beverages available only at Genghis Grill. Among the Infamous Cocktails, is the International Cherry Blossom Festival-themed thunder cherry blast, a blend of Cruzan Black Cherry Rum, pineapple juice and grenadine. The Macon location is a proud sponsor of the annual event.

The Fresh Market Bar will offer 12 options of seasoned protein including fish, chicken, beef, ham and turkey, more than two dozen types of vegetables, rice and pasta, and many unique types of Asian inspired seasonings and sauces only found at Genghis Grill such as: mongo beef, red curry peanut, and khan pao. Additionally, patrons will have the option of skipping the line and ordering from their table. Genghis Grill offers several traditional dishes including steak and broccoli, and mandarin orange chicken, plus many signature meals including Hong Kong noodles, firecracker scallops and spicy Thai tofu. For an additional fee, guests will be able to add shrimp to any chef-made bowl or signature dish. Conner, Hefner and Oliver are business partners whose company, Makhanga, owns two Genghis Grill locations in Augusta and Macon, respectively. Additionally, the three partner in the operation and oversight of 13 Zaxby’s locations throughout Middle Georgia. Beginning Monday, March 16, the Macon Genghis Grill location will be open 11 a.m. – 10 p.m., seven days a week.
