Georgia Craft Brewers Guild Announces Partnership with Peachstate Ale Trail

Press release from the issuing company

Tuesday, January 6th, 2015

The Georgia Craft Brewers’ Guild, Georgia’s trade organization representing craft breweries and brewpubs, has partnered with the Peach State Ale Trail for the continuation of the Guild’s popular “Enthusiast Membership” program. Peach State Ale Trail will operate a passport program similar to the Guild’s enthusiast program, and the Guild will continue to profit from the program.

Peach State Ale Trail was founded by Chris Tsavatewa, Josh Epps, Lee Greenway and Jonathan Harwell-Dye in 2014 to promote Georgia’s growing craft beer industry and to aggregate craft beer news from around the state.

Co-founder Tsavatewa says, “We are avid craft beer enthusiasts and extremely excited to launch this company and support the Guild while serving the fans of the craft beer industry. The Peach State’s Passport program launched in November and offers passports at three levels — Citizen, Diplomat and Ambassador. Benefits include discounts at over 30 breweries, brewpubs, growler/bottle shops, and other craft beer retailers across Georgia. Citizen members receive two Peach State Koozies, a bumper sticker, Peach State bottle opener, and more. Diplomats get all those benefits, plus access to VIP brewery tours, and additional swag including a Peach State Ale Trail travel growler. At the highest level, Ale Trail Ambassadors receive all the benefits of the lower levels along with an exclusive, special edition ‘Drink Local’ T-shirt and invitations to special ‘Black Koozie’ events beginning in 2015. We’ve tried to make the passport program accessible on every level. With three tiers, there is something for every craft beer enthusiast.”

Nancy Palmer, Executive Director of the Georgia Craft Brewers Guild, said, “We couldn’t be happier with this partnership. We are always looking ways to reach out to enthusiasts and fans and I really think the Peach State Ale Trail has hit the mark with their Passport program.” Peach State and the Guild have committed to a long-term partnership and are working closely to ensure the transition from the Guild’s Enthusiast program to Peach State’s Passport program is smooth. Peach State Passport holders will still get communications about Guild activities and discounts at the Guild’s member breweries and specials events.
