The employees of Navicent Health, through Navicent Health’s employee giving campaign, will present a donation of $400,000 to Children’s Hospital, Navicent Health.
The funds provided to CHNH are contributed through Navicent Health’s “Healthcare Employees Achieving Tomorrow” (HEAT) charitable giving program. The program is comprised of Navicent Health employees who support the community’s healthcare needs through financial contributions. Employees may give a one-time gift, or choose to have a certain amount deducted from each paycheck.
“At Navicent Health, we have phenomenal employees who truly care about the health needs of our community. They do not just come to work to do a job and go home, but go above and beyond their job duties to willingly commit a portion of their income to support community healthcare initiatives,” said Dr. Ninfa Saunders, President and CEO of Navicent Health.
The funds will be used to relocate Children’s Health Center, Navicent Health, an outpatient pediatric clinic located at 744 First Street. The clinic, which primarily provides care to the underserved, has outgrown its current facility, constructed in 1965.
Approximately 43 percent of Navicent Health’s employees contribute to HEAT. Since its inception in 1992, HEAT has contributed more than $2 million to hospital projects and local charitable healthcare initiatives.
