The Robins Regional Chamber is pleased to announce that the 57th Annual Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014.  Featured as Grand Marshal this year will be local musician and rising star, Jared “Jarod” Cotton, who was a former contestant on American Idol.  Cotton will be featured on the very first float of the parade, which is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. at the intersection of Houston Road and Watson Blvd.

Themed “A Star-Spangled Christmas,” this year’s parade is geared toward the spirit of Christmas from a patriotic perspective.  Sponsors for this year’s parade include Flint Energies and iHeart Media, Inc.  As incentive to enhance the competition for those vying for best in show for each category, participants are encouraged to use their imagination with theme-related decoration, creativity, originality and of course, music!  Last year the Grand Marshal Award, judged by the Chamber’s Parade Committee, was awarded to Just the Girls. They will again follow this year’s Grand Marshal in the parade line-up.  The parade units will be judged by a select group of business and community members.

The Robins Regional Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade is one of Georgia's largest Christmas holiday events and provides a great opportunity for area organizations and businesses to gain valuable exposure and show off their community spirit.  Each year thousands of community members attend this much anticipated holiday event where business owners, educational organizations and recreational entities unite in an effort to make the season jolly!  In addition to the thousands of spectators attending in person, radio listeners will be able to listen live to the parade broadcast on local stations and television viewers will once again be able to watch the broadcast on 13WMAZ and 13WMAZ.com.

Entries include: Vehicles (car, pick-up truck or fire truck only); marching units; creative floats (original, handmade, and/ or trailers and towed vehicles); leased floats (pre-decorated floats obtained from the Chamber); and vehicle clubs.  Pricing varies depending on entry. 

Final Registration Deadline for ALL entries is Friday, November 7, 2014 at 5:00 p.m. Absolutely no applications will be accepted after November 7, 2014.
