Robins Chamber Unveils New Speaker's Bureau Resource

Staff Report From Middle Georgia CEO

Tuesday, October 7th, 2014

The Robins Regional Chamber has established an online Speaker’s Bureau to provide a resource for qualified speakers for the Robins Region.  The speakers have expertise in many business related areas and are prepared to gear presentations to audiences of various ages; including school groups, local clubs, churches and other civic organizations.

“The Speaker’s Bureau was initially developed as a resource for educators in response to a request for assistance finding qualified members of the business community to interact with high school students,” said Christina O’Brien, Vice Chair of the Chamber’s Educational Affairs Committee.  “We quickly learned that there is a need for qualified speakers from the business community for groups of all ages.”

Through the online bureau, the Chamber will help connect organizations with prospective speakers and all arrangements will be made directly between the requesting organization and the speaker.  Speaker participation is limited to chamber-member organizations, but the Chamber is pleased to offer this resource to the entire community.

Speakers’ expertise includes the following topic areas:  communications skills, customer service skills, finance/insurance/accounting, hospitality, industrial/manufacturing, job search skills, law/criminal justice, medical, motivational, professional development, social media ethics and technology.

Interested parties may visit robinsregion.com and click on the Speaker’s Bureau link under the Chamber of Commerce tab to make a request or to register as a speaker.  For more information, please call the Chamber at 478.922.8585.
