James-Bates-Brannan-Groover-LLP is proud to announce Matthew Couvillion has joined the firm as an associate in the Tax and Wealth Planning Group in the Atlanta office.

Matthew focuses on providing comprehensive tax and corporate law advice to businesses and tax exempt organizations. He helps individual clients protect their business and personal interests through careful estate, business succession, and tax planning. Matthew earned his LL.M. in taxation from Georgetown University Law Center. He received his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he served as the Managing Editor for the South Carolina Journal of International Law and Business and received a legal merit scholarship. He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Auburn University.
