A birthday cocktail reception in King’s honor will be held on Tuesday, September 9 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Luce Heart Institute, Navicent Health lobby. This is not a public event, but media are invited to attend. Those wishing to interview King should arrive by 5:15 p.m.

“Damon played an integral role in creating Medical Center, Navicent Health as we know it today. When he took the helm of the Macon Hospital, it was on the verge of closure. Upon retirement, Damon left a world-class tertiary healthcare facility well prepared to advance into the twentieth century.
