Winners will be announced on November 13th. 

Nomination Categories Include:

INDUSTRY OF THE YEAR- Any Industry operating for a minimum of 5 years may be nominated.  These include businesses engaged in manufacturing or warehousing and distribution.

BUSINESS OF THE YEAR- Any Private Company (non-manufacturing or warehousing and distribution) operating for a minimum of 5 years engaged in commerce in Macon-Bibb County may be nominated. 

SMALL BUSINESS OF THE YEAR - Any business or industry with less than 50 employees that has been operating for a minimum of 5 years. 

Evaluation Criteria:

(Recipients who have one in the last 5 years are NOT eligible to participate)

Company's Economic Impact

• Company stability: Years in business locally

• Current current total employment (full-time and part-time)

• Employment growth from original level

Corporate Citizenship

• Company's directed and/or individual employee volunteer participation in education, civic and charitable organizations

• Company's cash and in-kind donations to education, civic and charitable organizations

• Demonstration of company's effort to be environmentally conscientious and other examples of the company's corporate citizenship in the Macon-Bibb County area 

Additional Criteria:  

• Cultivating a positive and creative workplace environment

• Components that allow your company to stand out among other businesses
