Secure Health Plans of Georgia, LLC (Secure Health) President and CEO Robbin W. Morton recently announced his decision to retire at the end of this year. Morton’s retirement will bring to a close a successful career of over 12 years continuous service to the company, its owners, clients and the community as well as 30 years in Human Resources executive management.
Mr. Morton came to Georgia in 1988 as Vice President of Human Resources for Georgia Kaolin, a client of Secure Health. During that time he served on the board of Secure Health and was named CEO and President of Secure Health in 2002. He currently serves on several local boards including Central Georgia Technical College, Georgia College and State University School of Business, Mercer University College of Continuing Education, Good Vocations and Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Secure Health and am proud of the fine team we have created together,” said Morton. “A primary factor in the timing of my decision to retire was to ensure that Secure Health is well positioned to be highly successful in the changing healthcare environment, both now and in the future. Our Board of Directors share my confidence and greatly appreciate the value of Secure Health.”
Mr. Morton plans to stay with Secure Health during the Board’s executive search for his successor, in order to ensure an orderly transition over the next few months.
