Thursday, March 6th, 2014

The Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers in Macon, Georgia, are ramping up efforts to help the family that was impacted by the tragic fire at their home this past weekend on Mimosa Drive, where one child, A’von Blake Martin, age 3, died in the fire.

Mellow Mushroom Macon owner David Spivey is serving as a liaison to the immediate family.

Spivey stated that the family has lost everything: “Mr. Martin has been a dedicated employee for over 6 years. We want to do anything and everything we can to provide items to help support this family and allow them to rebuild their lives.”

This Tuesday, March 11th, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., 20% of the sales from the Mellow Mushroom in Macon will go to the family. Along with a portion of sales being given to this family, there will be a collection area for other items to be donated and dropped off.
