The Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce will host its annual State of the Community program presented by Cadence Bank on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, bringing together business, civic, military, and community leaders from across the Central Georgia region for one of the organization’s signature programs.

The program will begin at 12:00 p.m. and will feature Macon-Bibb County Mayor Lester Miller’s annual address, offering a comprehensive look at the progress, priorities, and future direction of the community.

Each year, the State of the Community serves as a moment to align Macon’s business and community leadership around shared progress and the opportunities ahead. This year’s program reflects a continued focus on growth, workforce development, and the collaborative effort driving Macon forward.

“The Greater Macon Chamber is proud to host this program that reflects the collaboration shaping Macon’s future,” said Jessica Walden, President & CEO of the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce. “When community leadership, businesses, and educators are aligned, we create a place where people want to live, work, and build their future again and again. State of the Community is an opportunity to come together, reflect on our shared progress, and align around the bold vision we’re building for Macon’s future – demonstrating how we are truly greater together.”

Attendees will also experience the “Taste of Macon,” a curated luncheon featuring local restaurants that are part of the Chamber network, showcasing the energy and investment of the small business community. Balcony seating remains available and can be reserved at maconchamber.com.

The program will bring together a broad cross-section of the region, including business leaders, elected officials, military leadership, educators, students, and community partners, all contributing to the shared work of strengthening Macon-Bibb and the greater Central Georgia region.

With nearly 800 Investors, the Greater Macon Chamber continues to serve as the organized voice of business, working in partnership with public and private leadership to advance initiatives that support economic growth, workforce development, and long-term community success.
