Macon Magazine and NewTown Macon are serving up a new tradition this fall with the launch of its inaugural Macon Restaurant Week, set for September 12-20. The weeklong event, themed “Fall into Flavor,” invites diners to explore exclusive specials from some of Macon’s most beloved locally-owned downtown restaurants.

Seventeen restaurants across downtown Macon are participating in the event, offering limited-time dishes and drinks at tiered price points: $10 Steals, $20 Deals, $30 Meals, and $50 Feasts. Restaurants will also compete for two titles: People’s Choice and the winner of the 478 Date Night Challenge, which features creative dining experiences for two priced at $47.80.

Participating restaurants include Braddock’s Cask & Table, Cashman’s Pub, Dovetail, H&H Soul Food, Kudzu Seafood Company, Longleaf Distilling Co., Loom at Hotel Forty Five, Macon Bagels, Ocmulgee Brewpub, Shuster’s Candy & Creamery, Sweet Eleanor's Divine Desserts, Taste and See Coffee Shop & Gallery, and The Brick.

“Downtown Macon is the culinary heart of Middle Georgia,” said Emily Hopkins, Vice President of External Affairs and Main Street Manager at NewTown Macon. “From fast-casual comfort food to high-end cocktails and seasonal plates, Restaurant Week gives locals and visitors alike a chance to explore the bold flavors and creative talents of our chefs, mixologists, and bakers. We’re proud to showcase downtown as a true dining destination.”

Macon Restaurant Week is a collaborative effort led by Macon Magazine in partnership with NewTown Macon. In addition to specialty menus and deals, guests are encouraged to vote for their favorite item to determine the People’s Choice winner. Those craving a more curated experience can follow the Restaurant Week Passport, which includes all participating restaurants and offers prizes for completed visits, including the chance to win a $500 gift card to the downtown restaurant of the winner’s choice.

“This event is all about uplifting Macon’s incredible food scene and creating fun, community-driven experiences,” said Julia Morrison, Managing Editor of Macon Magazine. “We’re thrilled to partner with restaurants and organizations across the city to shine a light on the creativity, culture, and flavor that make Macon’s dining scene truly special.”

Macon Restaurant Week will conclude with a closing celebration on September 22, where the winners of the People’s Choice Award and 478 Date Night Challenge will be announced.
