Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia is proud to announce its upcoming Career and Resource Fair on Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Anderson Conference Center in Macon, GA. This free event will connect job seekers with employers who are actively hiring and offer community resources to support career advancement and overcome employment barriers.

As economic uncertainty and workforce transitions affect local families, this event provides a critical opportunity for individuals to explore new paths and receive the support they need to succeed.

Why This Matters:

  • Timely & Impactful: With workforce shifts and economic challenges, this fair serves as a bridge for those needing new job opportunities.

  • Inspiring Stories: Job seekers eager to re-enter the workforce will connect with local employers and career coaches, offering guidance and encouragement.

  • Local Economic Boost: Employers such as Aspen Products, Atrium Health—Navicent, Bibb County School District, Georgia Power, Goodwill, Moonhanger Group, and Sevita will be present and actively recruiting local talent.

  • Community Resources: Support services will be offered by Goodwill Career Education (GCE), Helms College, Care Source, Family Counseling Center, Macon AIM, Macon Area Habitat for Humanity, and One-Stop DOL.

  • Tasty Bites on Site: Come hungry! Streetz Eatz Food Truck will be serving up delicious eats for purchase.

"This event is our mission in action—changing lives by bringing people together,” said Carlye Thompson, Senior Director of Career Services at Goodwill. “The connections made in just one day between recruiters and job seekers can create a ripple effect of positive impact across our entire community.”

“We’ve seen firsthand how access to employers and resources in one place can change someone’s life,” added Candace Simmons, Career Center Coordinator. "This is the season for renewal—begin with a new career! We’re excited to welcome the Macon community to this empowering event.”

The Career and Resource Fair is a free event open to everyone. Job seekers are not required to register.
