Macon & Eggs to Feature Panel Discussion On The State Of Education in Georgia with a Special Focus on Macon-Bibb County

The Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce is set to host a panel of experts to discuss the latest updates on Georgia's education system, emphasizing Macon-Bibb County, at its morning business advocacy program, Macon & Eggs: State of Education. This breakfast program is scheduled for Thursday, September 12, 2024.

The education panel will include the Deputy Superintendent of School Improvement from the Georgia Department of Education, the Vice President of Corporate Affairs from the Georgia Lottery, and the State Senate Pro Tem of the Georgia General Assembly to discuss the State's future education objectives and how these goals are supported. 

“It is the goal of our Chamber to bring quality programming to our business community that focuses on connection and advocacy,” said Jessica Walden, President and CEO of the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce. “This morning program centered on education in the scope of our State is a way to ensure Macon is at the forefront.”

Panelists include:

  • Senator John Kennedy, President Pro Tem of the Georgia State Senate

  • Dr. Stephanie Johnson, Georgia Department of Education Deputy Superintendent of School Improvement

  • JB Landroche, Vice President of Corporate Affairs at the Georgia Lottery

The program will take place at Hutchings College & Career Academy, and breakfast will be served. Macon & Eggs: State of Education is sponsored by Cox, with additional support from Cadence Bank, Servepro of Macon, and Sheridan Construction. Breakfast will begin at 8:30 a.m., and the discussion will start at 9:00 a.m., at Hutchings College and Career Academy (1780 Anthony Road, Macon, GA 31204).

Individual registration is $35 for Chamber Investors and $70 for future Investors. Table registration is $300 for Chamber Investors and $600 for future Investors.
