YKK AP Holds Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for New Residential Manufacturing Facility in Macon

Government leaders and community partners welcome YKK AP, celebrating their facility ribbon-cutting ceremony in Macon-Bibb County, Georgia.
Today, YKK AP America Inc. (YKK AP) held a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the official opening of its first greenfield residential manufacturing facility in Macon-Bibb County, Ga.
The event was held in Macon with Commissioner Pat Wilson of the Georgia Department of Economic Development, Mayor Lester Miller of Macon-Bibb County, Chairman Robby Fountain of the Macon-Bibb County Industrial Authority, and other local leaders in attendance.
“YKK AP’s expansion into a new, leading-edge facility is a testament to its strong connection with our community,” said Mayor Miller. “This ceremony marks the beginning of a new chapter in our relationship, offering more opportunities to enrich our economy, improve the lives of our families, and strengthen our position as a hub of innovation and industry.”
The facility completed construction in December 2023 and began operations in January 2024. It currently employs more than 250 employees in the Macon community.
