The End of an Era: Last JSTARS Plane Prepares to Leave Robins

The last JSTARS E-8C jet is getting ready to leave Robins Air Force Base, marking the end of a nearly three-decade mission. The plane and its people have provided immeasurable support to military troops all over the globe through surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities.
The active duty 461st Air Control Wing and National Guard 116th Air Control Wing make up JSTARS, which stands for Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System.
