The University of Georgia Small Business Development Center (UGA SBDC) announces the third annual Women of Business 2022: Here and Now summit created to support, educate, enhance and connect the central Georgia business community. This will be the first year the summit is held in person.

Women of Business 2022: Here and Now happens at Robert F. Hatcher Sr. Conference Center at Middle Georgia State University, 100 Parkway, Macon, GA. on Thursday, October 27, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets are on sale now and an early bird discount is available.

In partnership with Macon Magazine and presenting sponsor, COX, Women of Business 2022 includes multiple sessions led by local experts who have secured their business for the second generation, implemented strategy for business growth, tailored their time for work life harmony and even discovered laughter as a means to good health and business. The event will include lunch, and participants will have the opportunity to connect with each other throughout the day.

“We’ve waited two years to finally experience this event, and the community it’s created, in person,” said Lisa Rackley, area director of the UGA SBDC in Macon. “This signature Summit is open to anyone who identifies with our regional business community and wants to experience – and be inspired by – the power of women who lead it.”

According to recent data from the U.S. Census Bureau, women-owned firms now represent more than one in five businesses with employees in the U.S., a figure that has trended upward in recent years.
