Nichiha USA is expanding capabilities at its manufacturing facility in Macon, Ga.—the company’s first location in the United States, which opened in 2006. Development to the Macon plant will bring 100 new jobs, ranging from production to warehouse and management positions.  

The $150 million investment will allow Nichiha USA to implement advanced technologies and processes that have been refined over the last 60 years. The expansionwill enable the Japanese-owned company to design and build more of its products in the United States, lessening its reliance on imports and the international supply chain. Improvements and efficiencies are also expected to be seen across the areas of customer service and the product lifecycle, bringing Nichiha USA’s offerings to market more quickly.  

“We are excited to expand our operations with state-of-the-art production technologies that allow us to make our award-winning Architectural Wall Panels right here in Macon,” said Hideto Yoshida, CEO of Nichiha USA. “This significant investment will support our efforts to serve our industry more efficiently as we continue to grow our business in North America.”  

An additional 500,000 square feet will be added to the existing plant on the Macon campus, growing the facility to two plants and a new warehouse once the project has been completed.

Nichiha USA established its campus in Macon, Ga. in 2006. The company manufactures high-performance building material solutions for a wide variety of applications.
