Friday evening, Cox Communications presented The Otis Redding Foundation with a $100,000 donation to support the construction of the new Otis Redding Center for the Arts on downtown Macon’s Cotton Avenue. Cox made the announcement during the foundation’s Evening of Respecttribute concert of which Cox was the presenting concert and weekend festivities sponsor. 

“We’re thrilled to support this outstanding organization and celebrate Otis Redding’s powerful legacy,” said Caryn Frey, Cox Middle Georgia’s market vice president. "When Karla and Zelma Redding announced their plans to build the new center earlier this year, I knew instantly that I wanted Cox to play a role in making that dream come to life.” 

“Our supporters in the community mean so much to us because without them we would not be able to make this dream a reality,” said Karla Redding-Andrews, Vice President and Executive Director of the Otis Redding Foundation. “We are grateful to the wonderful people at Cox Communications for their ongoing commitment to the Otis Redding Center for the Arts, and we look forward to being able to share the life-changing stories of positive impact as a result of their investment.”
