Colony Bank Names David Wilson Senior Vice President and Macon Market President

Colony Bank is pleased to announce that David Wilson has joined Colony Bank as Senior Vice President and Macon Market President. Wilson, who will build upon the Company’s recent growth and success in Middle Georgia, will be working from the Company’s Macon office located at 1515 Bass Road.
Over the past decade, Wilson has worked in positions of increasing responsibility in commercial banking in the Macon, Georgia, area. Most recently, he served as Regional President, Commercial Banking, for Planters First Bank. From 2012 to 2016, he served as Middle Georgia Market President, Commercial Banking, for Regions Bank, and from 2007 to 2012, he served as Vice President, Commercial Banking, for SunTrust Bank.
Commenting on the announcement, Heath Fountain, President and Chief Executive Officer, said, “We are excited to welcome David as Macon Market President. David has built an outstanding career and reputation in Macon and Middle Georgia, and his leadership and knowledge of banking tools and products and how to best assist clients with their commercial banking needs will be vital to continuing our recent growth in these areas.”
Wilson and his wife, Alexis, have three children – twins who recently graduated from college and the youngest a senior in high school. Wilson is a past president of the Macon Civic Club and local Make‑A‑Wish chapter and has served as a member of various boards, including the Bragg Jam, Capital Theatre, March of Dimes and American Cancer Society. He and his family attend Vineville United Methodist Church. Wilson’s hobbies include kayaking the Ocmulgee River, Georgia Bulldawg football and live music events, especially Macon’s own Allman Brothers Band.
