Greg Caples Named CEO of Coliseum Northside Hospital

Greg Caples, FACHE, has been named the Chief Executive Officer of Coliseum Northside Hospital effective September 11, 2017. Caples, a proven healthcare executive, brings over 25 years of experience with Hospital Corporation of America, Coliseum Northside Hospital’s parent company. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Grand Strand Health in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Along with a track record of healthcare executive leadership, he brings experience with implementing new product lines, improving operational efficiency and overseeing large capital investments.

Caples holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, FL. He received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Georgia in Athens, GA. Caples is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and served as president of the Middle Tennessee ACHE chapter in 2014.
Prior to Grand Strand, Caples began his career with HCA as Controller and then CFO before moving on to become a COO at Emory Johns Creek Hospital in Johns Creek, GA and later TriStar’s Summit Medical Center in Hermitage, TN.
