Spherion Staffing Services, a local recruiting, staffing and workforce solutions provider, recently honored Middle Georgia (Byron) franchise owner Michael Chalmers with the company’s prestigious Best of Blue Award. Chalmers received the award, which recognizes individuals and offices that demonstrated significant sales and revenue growth in the previous year, at the annual Spherion Performance Forum conference earlier this month.
 
In 2015, Chalmers and his expert staffing team expanded combined revenue by nearly 55 percent within Spherion’s Middle Georgia and Huntsville (Ala.) offices. Under Chalmers’ leadership, these two branches added a steady volume of new accounts and two new On-Premise locations to better serve the staffing needs of local light industrial, administrative, customer service, non-clinical healthcare and professional businesses.
 
A former Spherion employee, Chalmers assumed ownership of the Middle Georgia branch in 2010 and has consistently demonstrated sharp business acumen and a commitment to growth. Additionally, Chalmers and his team are active contributors to multiple community initiatives that make the region a better place to live and work.
