Career Women's Network of Macon (CWN) is pleased to present the “ 2015 Women in Leadership Luncheon” to be held Tuesday May 5th, 2015 at 11:45 am at the Macon Marriot City Center Hotel in Macon, GA.
This year’s 2015 Women in Leadership Luncheon will feature Dr. Ninfa M. Saunders, FACHE.
Dr. Saunders currently serves as the president & CEO of Navicent Health, a nonprofit corporation whose primary purpose is to coordinate the Medical Center, Navicent Health and other affiliated entities in their mission of providing a comprehensive continuum of high quality, reasonably priced healthcare services to the region.

Dr. Saunders has more than 40 years of hospital administrative experience and completed her Doctorate in Healthcare Administration at the Medical University of South Carolina. She earned a Master of Business Administration from Emory University in Atlanta, Ga., and a Master of Science in Nursing from the Rutgers University in Newark, N.J. She received her Certification as a Black Belt in Six Sigma from the University of Michigan, College of Engineering. She also attended the Healthcare Executive Program at Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pa., and the International Business Program at the London School of Business in London, England.
Dr. Saunders was chosen as the Georgia Alliance of Community Hospital’s 2014 CEO of the Year, honored by The Telegraph as central Georgia’s 2014 Person of the Year, and included on Georgia Trends’ 2015 list of 100 Influential Georgians. She was among both the 2014 and 2013 Becker’s Hospital Review “130 Women Hospital and Health System Leaders to Know” and honored by the Georgia Diversity Council as one of Georgia’s “Most Powerful & Influential Women” of 2013. Dr. Saunders currently serves as an Executive with the Fierce Healthcare CEO Advisory Board and as a frequent expert for Becker’s Hospital Review and Healthcare Leaders national media roundtables. As the vice chair for the American Hospital Association’s Institute for Diversity, Dr. Saunders serves in leadership roles throughout central Georgia focused on economic development and community engagement. Most recently, she has volunteered to chair the local Go Red for Women campaign, promoting women’s fight against heart disease and stroke. She was also the 2014 Modern Healthcare's Women Leaders in Healthcare Conference keynote speaker.
