Birch Communications, Inc., a leading nationwide provider of communications, network and cloud services to small, mid-sized, enterprise and wholesale businesses, today announced it achieved record organic sales in the first quarter of 2015, achieving an overall sales increase of 113% compared to the first quarter of 2014.
"This quarter produced Birch's best organic sales results to date and we couldn't be happier," said Christopher Ramsey, Senior Vice President and Chief Sales Officer at Birch. "Every one of our six sales channels greatly out-performed sales from the same quarter last year. We are very excited about our significantly expanded sales organization and the success they are achieving."
During the past year, Birch greatly expanded their 22-state IP-Network / Data Center capabilities as well as their product portfolio. Today, Birch offers everything from analog phone service, T1s, broadband and mobile services to best-in-class advanced business services, including: cloud PBX, VoIP, Metro Ethernet, Metro Fiber, MPLS, file storage, managed hosting, data center, and IT services. This network and product expansion has enabled our sales channels to satisfy the needs of more small, medium, enterprise and wholesale businesses nationwide.
"Two major factors contributed to our success this quarter: network expansion and product improvements," said Vincent M. Oddo, President and CEO of Birch. "As we continue to grow our company, we will maintain our policy of reinvesting in further network and product enhancements like the recently announced expansion of our Metro-Fiber offering. In addition to these two success factors, I would be remiss if I did not stress that the foundation of all of our success is our fanatically great customer care."
"Our recent sales success is a positive indication that our product development and marketing teams have identified the most important products for our customers," said Dave Gibson, Vice President of Product Development and Wholesale Sales at Birch.
Twice this year, Birch announced enhancements to its TotalCloud® PBX product. This enterprise-class PBX phone system is hosted within the company's secure Birch Cloud, which is SSAE16/SOC3 certified. This is the latest generation of hosted phone systems designed to address the unified communications needs of businesses of any size. Recent updates include the addition of metered and unlimited plans and the option to "bring your own" SIP-compliant phones and devices.
Also, earlier this year, Birch announced the expansion of its Metro-Fiber services in key markets, including Houston, TX, Los Angeles, CA, andWashington, DC. Sales of Metro-Fiber services have increased since the expansion announcement, with February and March 2015 nearly doubling all previous months. Birch's 2015 roadmap includes ongoing expansion of its Metro-Fiber services to several other markets in the coming months.
"Birch offers feature-packed communications and data products and we provide services that positively impact our customers' bottom line," saidChristopher Ramsey, Senior Vice President and Chief Sales Officer at Birch. "Add to that our continually expanding service area and you will continue to see organic sales growth. Supporting our customers with great quality service that is both value-driven and reliable is a cornerstone of our business."
