Macon Economic Development Commission Hosts Developers' Day

The Macon Economic Development Commission (MEDC) will host project managers from the Georgia Department of Economic Development, Georgia EMC and Georgia Power in Macon on Thursday January 29 and Friday January 30. This event is sponsored by Georgia Power Company.
The Project Managers will spend time visiting Macon-Bibb’s college campuses and will have an opportunity to acquainting or reacquainting themselves with Macon's economic assets. They will attend the Mercer v. University of Tennessee Chattanooga basketball game Thursday evening. On Friday they will be treated to a walking tour to learn about the tremendous growth downtown Macon has been experiencing.
The Project Managers will be joined by members of the economic development team; Board members of MEDC, Macon-Bibb County Industrial Authority, Greater Macon Chamber and Macon Water Authority as they travel by bus, courtesy of Central GA Technical College, to various sites.
The media is encouraged to meet with the group at the following stops for great photo opportunities and a chance to speak with the Project Managers:
7:30 PM Thursday: Mercer University Hawkins Arena
10:40 AM Friday: Ocmulgee Traders, 455 Poplar Street
12:15 PM Friday: “I Love Macon” sculpture at Forsyth St. & Spring St. (Daisy Park)
Developers Day is part of the economic development team's Inbound Marketing Campaign, designed to familiarize our state project manager partners with what Macon has to offer.
