Coliseum Health System is pleased to welcome Lance Jones, PT, MHA, FACHE as Chief Executive Officer for Coliseum Medical Centers effective late September. He most recently served as the Chief Executive Officer for Turkey Creek Medical Center in Knoxville, TN. 

Jones’ tenure as CEO was highlighted by significant growth in Turkey Creek’s surgical and specialty programs resulting in HMA honoring him as their CEO of the Year in 2012.  Previously he served as Chief Operating Officer or Chief Executive Officer for hospitals in New Mexico, South Carolina, Texas and Tennessee. Jones looks forward to working closely with the Coliseum clinical and physician team to continue the focus on delivering excellent care and patient experience.

A native of New Zealand, Lance received a Bachelor’s of Science in Physiology and a Bachelor’s of Physical Therapy from the University of Otago before completing his Master’s of Healthcare Administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Lance is active in a number of community organizations, including serving on the Board for United Way and Chair-Elect for the Chamber of Commerce.
