Dawn Hardy, a teacher from David Perdue Primary School, has been named the 2021-2022 Gifted Teacher of the Year for the Houston County School District. The surprise announcement was recently made in her classroom. “I am so honored to be a part of the Houston County gifted community,” said Hardy. “This phenomenal team of people inspires children to tackle challenges and rise to meet high expectations every day. This team values creative thinking and constructs extraordinary opportunities for students to excel. I am proud to say I am a part of this exceptional group of people.” Mrs. Hardy teaches second grade gifted classes and serves as the advisor for the STEAM Club.
