Historic Macon's Spring Flea Market Coming up Fast

Staff Report From Georgia CEO

Monday, March 25th, 2024

The granddaddy of all Middle Georgia flea markets returns to downtown Macon next month when Historic Macon’s spring Flea Market opens its doors.

Historic Macon’s warehouse at 357 Oglethorpe St. is packed with treasures. The Flea Market, which runs April 12-14, offers almost anything you can think of for sale at unbeatable prices. You’ll find furniture of all kinds, from sofas and chairs to tables and desks; fine china; vintage and quirky artwork; albums; lamps; rugs; antiques; linens; tools; knick-knacks; holiday décor; gardening gadgets; sporting goods; toys; kitchen goods — and much more.

The big weekend opens with a VIP preview sale April 12 from 5-7 p.m., which gives ticket holders early access to the Flea Market before the general public. Tickets are $75. To buy one, go to Historic Macon’s website and click on the blue button that says “Buy VIP Tickets Here.”

There is free entry to the sale during the weekend, April 13-14. Saturday hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday hours are noon to 4 p.m. Cash, cards and checks are accepted. Free parking is available across the street at the Macon Water Authority.

Historic Macon volunteers collect, sort and price donations, and the Flea Market — held twice a year — is the nonprofit’s biggest fundraiser. Members of Historic Macon get 15% off their purchases, so it’s a great time to join.

Whether you’re decorating your first apartment or have lived in the same place for 30 years, Historic Macon’s Flea Market has something that will add just the right touch to your home.
