GTA Releases BEAD Initial Proposal Volume 2 for Public Comment

The Georgia Technology Authority (GTA) has released the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Initial Proposal Volume 2 for public comment through December 1, 2023. Georgians are invited to review thedocument and submit any feedback by filling out the online webform.
Volume 2 of the Initial Proposal includes critical components to effectively implement BEAD funding, including the grant process, scoring criteria, and federal requirements for recipients of BEAD funding.
Upon receipt and consideration of comments to the document, the Governor's Office of Planning and Budget (OPB) will submit Volume 2 for consideration to the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA).
