Historic Macon’s warehouse is packed with new donations that volunteers collected all winter in preparation for the nonprofit’s spring Flea Market.

The 46th annual sale will be held March 31-April 2 at HMF’s warehouse, 357 Oglethorpe St.

A ticketed VIP shopping night for early-bird shoppers will be held from 5-7 p.m. March 31. The Flea Market is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 1, and from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 2. Entry is free.

Donations in recent months have been heavy on furniture, from chests of drawers and dining room tables to sofas and lounge chairs. But shoppers will find plenty more, including artwork, garden accessories and outdoor furniture, lamps, antiques, rugs, linens, tableware and glassware, curios, toys, electronics, holiday decor, albums, tools, luggage and sporting goods.

Volunteers will be working at the warehouse each morning this week, making final preparations. The Flea Market is HMF's largest fundraiser of the year and helps fund its preservation mission. HMF members get 15 percent off their Flea Market purchases.

Historic Macon is again partnering with the Loaves & Fishes Ministry for food collections, asking each shopper to bring at least two nonperishable items, especially ready-to-eat snack items, that the ministry can share with those in need. The Frios Gourmet Pops stand will be outside the warehouse on Saturday and Sunday.
