Macon Arts Alliance Welcomes New Staff Members

Macon Arts Alliance is fortunate to add two valuable members to their staff. Bo Walker begins as Project Director this month and Mariah Gandy joins as Marketing Assistant. Married with two children, and born and raised in Macon, Bo has been engaging with the local arts community since he was a child. With professional experiences in local industries from retail to restaurants, and creative efforts from print to the performing arts, Bo has developed a myriad of skillsets and perspectives.

A proud graduate of Mercer University, he is excited to focus his efforts and creative spirit into the greater Macon community. He is thrilled to support and promote the arts scene that had such a tremendous impact on him—so that all residents and visitors to Macon can see that there is so much to enjoy and experience in this special city. Mariah Gandy, a Louisiana native, married mom of two, has been a Macon resident since 2016. Stumbling into the arts scene by way of her husband’s connections. Has since made her own place in the Macon Arts community as a Board member of Storytellers Macon. She is eager to use her talents to emphasize the importance of art and the positive effect it can have on a community. 'Mariah and Bo bring a wealth of talent and enthusiasm,' said Executive Director Julie Wilkerson. 'We are thrilled to welcome them to the Macon Arts Alliance team.'
