Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful Holding Two Cleanups this Weekend

Keep Macon-Bibb Beautiful (KMBB) will assist in hosting two community cleanups this weekend.
One cleanup is part of United Way of Central Georgia’s Day of Action on Saturday, June 18, 2022. KMBB members and other community members will pick up trash, litter, and debris along the streets near the Brookdale Resource Center (3600 Brookdale Avenue). The cleanup will start at the Center at 9:00 a.m. and last until 11:00 a.m.
Another cleanup is the Divine 9 Community Cleanup which will happen on the same day in partnership with the NPHC: Macon-Middle Georgia Council. The cleanup is from 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. and will begin at the Historic Roxy Theater (445 Hazel Street).
KMBB is providing trash bags, litter pickers, gloves, and vests for both cleanups.
“This is an opportunity for our community to come together and give back to different neighborhoods,” said KMBB Executive Director Asha Ellen. “We are so proud of those stepping up to make a significant difference in our community.”
