In Partnership with MGA, Bibb Students to Sign with Project SEARCH

Several Bibb County School District students are set to sign with Project SEARCH in the coming weeks. Project SEARCH is a one-year training program in collaboration with Middle Georgia State University for students with disabilities. These students are given the opportunity to build work skills with an end goal of employment at the end of the year. Four of the students signing with Project SEARCH have secured jobs to begin after graduation.

On Friday, May 6, there will be a signing at Howard High School, located at 6400 Forsyth Road, at 12:30 p.m., followed by a signing at Central High School, located at 2155 Napier Ave., at 1:30 p.m. A signing is also scheduled for four students at Southwest High School, located at 1775 Williamson Road, on Friday, May 13, at 1 p.m. Members of the media are invited to any of these events. Additionally, students that have completed their Project SEARCH program are set to participate in a graduation ceremony on Thursday, May 19, at 9:30 a.m. This ceremony will take place in the math building auditorium at Middle Georgia State University, located at 100 University Parkway.
