There’s Still Time to Sign Up for County-wide Cleanup this Saturday

The big day is almost here and we have 38 teams signed up for our third #CleanStreetsMatter County-wide Cleanup. It’s happening in locations all over town this Saturday, October 23. You’ve got until tomorrow (Wednesday, October 20) at the end of the day to sign up yourself or your team. Each group will receive gloves, safety vests, grabbers, trash bags, and pickup service from county Solid Waste Crews.

“We’re thrilled to be holding the third County-wide Cleanup event in Macon-Bibb! In the first two, people collected more than 170,000 pounds of trash, and I’m positive we can make that number even higher,” says Mayor Lester Miller. “I’ll be out there with all of you helping to make our community as beautiful as possible."

For these team who have signed up, pickup for your items is happening Thursday, October 21 and Friday, October 22 from 2 p.m. to 5. p.m. at 794 Cherry Street. You must have signed up in advance to receive supplies.
