Celebrate Dairy Queen’s Miracle Treat Day in Central Georgia to Benefit Children at Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital

Thursday, October 28th, 2021

Buying a Blizzard at participating central Georgia Dairy Queens® on Thursday, Oct. 28, will do more than just treat your taste buds. The 17th annual Miracle Treat Day® will benefit Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children's Hospital, a Children's Miracle Network Hospital®.

At least $1 per Blizzard® purchased nationwide on Thursday, Oct. 28, will be donated to Children's Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals®. One of the largest, single-day fundraising events of the year for CMN, donations will remain local and will benefit patients by funding critical treatments, health services and pediatric medical equipment.

“One hundred percent of the funds raised throughout central Georgia will benefit Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children's Hospital. Last year, our local Dairy Queens raised more than $16,000 for our children through this event,” said Renee Bryan, Children’s Miracle Network coordinator for Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children's Hospital.

To help celebrate Miracle Treat Day, participants are encouraged to use #MiracleTreatDay on social media and invite others to join them in visiting a participating Dairy Queen location on Thursday, Oct. 28. To find a participating local Dairy Queen®, visit www.miracletreatday.com.

To honor Emma Moseley, a 16-year-old Jones County girl who died of cancer in September, the Dairy Queen location on West Clinton Street in Gray will donate all of its sales on Oct. 28 to CMN. The location is hoping to raise $50,000 on Miracle Treat Day through sales and matching donations from several private businesses.

Since 1984, Dairy Queen has raised more than $150 million for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. These donations have gone to support research and training, purchase equipment, and pay for uncompensated care, all to save and improve the lives of as many children as possible.
