Cochran Bleckley County Job Fair

Cochran Bleckley Chamber of Commerce and the Cochran Bleckley Industrial Development Authority is proud to announce a collaborative effort for a Cochran – Bleckley County Job Fair occurring April 27, 2021, from 10am to 1 pm at the Cochran City Auditorium/Chamber Office. During this walk-through job fair, job seekers will have an opportunity to meet Cochran Bleckley County employers hiring for full and part-time jobs.   

The pandemic is impacting our community,” said CEO/President Rusty Lloyd of the Cochran Bleckley Chamber of Commerce. “When the pandemic started, we witnessed many residents out of work and our Chamber business membership needing personnel.  Our goal is to get job seekers in the same space to connect with potential employers while still practicing social distancing and safe health regulations. It has been great to see local business groups working together in such harmony for the good of the community. We know the job fair will be beneficial to our residents, Chamber businesses, and economy.”

Whether hoping to find a fresh start, a better job, or a new career direction, job seekers will find a wealth of exciting opportunities inside our community at this free job fair.  The positions available include full and part time employment.  If you are retired and want to reenter the work force this is a great opportunity for you to explore what our community offers in employment.  If you are a student looking for part time or someone employed looking for a position with more benefits, you need to attend.   

The job fair is made possible through a collaboration between Chamber of Commerce and the Industrial Development Authority. Numerous local employers from a variety of industry sectors will be eager to hire for immediate openings in a wide range of fields. The job fair is open to the entire community. Local organizations and Business Owners who are scheduled at the time of this press release to be at the Cochran Bleckley County Job Fair are:  Gilmer Industries, Bleckley Memorial Hospital, Citizens Bank, Bleckley County Board of Education, Dodge State Prison, Aladdin Food Services MGA, Wow Cargo Trailers, Dairy Queen, and Middle Georgia State University.
