CGTC to Host Dual Enrollment Parent Nights for Aircraft Structural April 14th & Engineering Technology April 29th

Central Georgia Technical College (CGTC), its Aerospace, Trade, and Industry programs, and its High School Initiatives team will introduce parents to two of Middle Georgia’s most in-demand industries by way of the technical programs that supply their workforce.

The first of two Dual Enrollment Parent Nights on April 14 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., will feature the Aircraft Structural Technology (AST) program at its new site at the Central Georgia Aerospace Training and Sustainment Center adjacent to Middle Georgia Regional Airport at 1821 Avondale Mill Road, Macon, Ga. 31216.

CGTC houses its AST program in hangar space co-occupied by Robins AFB. The event will give parents and students a look at the day-to-day learning which occurs within the sequence of courses for Aircraft Structural Technology, and hear from industry partners to include, Delta, Boeing, Robins AFB, and Embraer.

On April 29, 2021, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., at the Charles H. Jones Advanced Technology Center on CGTC’s Macon Campus at 3300 Macon Tech Dr. Macon, Ga. 31216, the College will host a similar event to introduce parents to careers in Engineering Technology.

Both the Aircraft Structural and Engineering Technology programs are pleased to provide new options for dually enrolled students looking to explore key, in-demand jobs.

Through High School Initiatives, CGTC supports the growth, education and technical training of High School students by offering Dual Enrollment. Qualified students can earn a variety of college credit in Technical Certificates of Credit (TCC), diplomas, and degrees while completing high school requirements.
