The ME Film Festival, originally scheduled to take place in May 2020 was rescheduled for Nov. 2 – 8th of this year. After careful consideration, and due to the presidential election on Nov. 3rd, festival officials have now settled on a virtual festival that will take place Oct. 26 – 29th of this year.

The 2020 virtual fest will only screen about one third of the selections, while the majority of the 2020 selections will be viewed at the 2021 ME Film Festival.

ME Film Festival officials decided to hold the festival virtually, due to the fact that many international borders are closed.

“Many of our filmmakers live in Canada and overseas and won’t be able to attend the festival,” says Bennett.

The festival received an astounding 1280 submissions from over 40 countries this year.
