Robins Integrated Resilience and Prevention Office, along with the base chapel and the Robins Sexual Assault Prevention & Response Office, are teaming up to host Robins Family Night of HOPE on Sept. 25.

The event will give active duty military families, civilian families, retirees and family members the opportunity to connect with each other while enjoying a movie, games, and refreshments. It will be held from 6 – 9 p.m. behind the Robins Conference Center, at 560 Warner Robins Street on base, next to the Pine Oaks Golf Course.

Master Sgt.  Kristal Lane, Resilience Program manager in Robins Integrated Resilience and Prevention Office, is the event lead. She said Family Night of HOPE is an opportunity for families to get to know one another.

“September is Suicide Awareness Month, and we want to ‘connect to protect’ and engage Team Robins families with a movie night with popcorn and drinks, games and information tables tailored to introduce them to the four Comprehensive Airman Fitness Domains which are mental, physical, social, and spiritual,” Lane said.

While Airmen and their families do not need to R.S.V.P. or pre-register for the free event, Lane said everyone must wear a mask when not socially distanced and it is recommended that people bring blankets to sit on at the outdoor event.

Lane said everyone on base should be there for each other.

“We are each other’s social support and source of help and motivation,” she said. “We want to build a community where everyone feels the same support as our military and civilians on the installation. Come out for a Night of HOPE and connect to protect.”
